The Government & Social Impact's Data Transparency & Research Partnerships team is focused on building relationships within the academic community and finding solutions to enable research on Facebook or with the data for which we are stewards. The team supports the academic community in conducting most critical research concerning Facebook products including their impact on people and society. This team will work closely with researchers and associated academic institutions to onboard, manage, educate, and explore new opportunities to strengthen our researcher platform, API, and dataset offerings.As a Program Manager, you will execute on compliance and on-boarding operations to engage hundreds to thousands of researchers and drive scaled operations across a large group of internal and external stakeholders. This role requires you to become an expert of onboarding processes and compliance requirements, taking ambiguous operational problems and creating clear solution paths, managing large groups of stakeholders from cross-functional teams, scaling our strategy, and escalation management. You will drive reporting and documentation strategy for our highest-priority compliance and onboarding operations and partner with internal cross-functional experts. You will also interface with researchers globally to provide onboarding and access to Meta's Data Transparency tools and datasets.

Program Manager, Government & Social Impact Responsibilities:

  • Execute reporting, documentation, and onboarding operations to support Researchers (and associated universities and institutions) across Meta's research and dataset offerings
  • Build new processes to scale support and relationships with a large number of strategic data transparency & research partners
  • Develop, plan and execute programs with researchers that help them achieve their research objectives via new API or dataset offerings and the adoption of those offerings
  • Collaborate and communicate across large cross-functional teams to drive compliance and operations outcomes
  • Work closely with members of privacy, compliance, product, engineering, policy, communications, legal, finance, human resources, and others to execute, improve processes, and identify opportunities for improved efficiency
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to appropriately identify, triage, manage, and resolve escalations


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in partner advocacy, expectation setting, collecting actionable insights, and adoption of product


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge in the space of academia, research, policy, and/or platform development
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse researcher communities
  • Effective communication and partnership experience to manage across and up
  • Experience in designing scaled partner growth programs to upskill and/or educate on key topics
  • Experience in compliance operations at large technical organizations
  • Experience using technical reporting and documentation tools (e.g. Excel, Google Spreadsheets, CRM, etc.)

$129,000/year to $187,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
