Proposal Writer

Locations: The ideal candidate should live within 50 miles of our Open Access Pulse Points locations listed in this requisition .This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). Candidates living within 50 miles of an Open Access Pulse Point listed on this requisition will also be considered. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office) 1-2x a week.

The Proposal Writer is responsible for writing standard proposal responses to win and retain existing business.

How you will make an impact:

  • Creates standard proposal responses leveraging the core content repository, develops written solutions, leveraging best practices, brand standards, innovative ideas, and reviewer insights.
  • Identifies and creates standard content for the proposal database and edits content.
  • Aligns multiple written communication efforts with the overall company messaging and goals.
  • Partners with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop new solutions and obtain direction to create alternative solutions.
  • Serves as a communications resource for business leaders and collaborates across various areas to support enterprise-wide selling initiatives.
  • May collaborate and partner with senior writers on more complex responses.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of health care specific proposal writing experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
  • Proposal RFP experience most notably in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of Proposal Automation Software strongly preferred.
  • Experience interacting confidently with key stakeholders, as a subject matter expert and comfortable with influencing decision-making preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties preferred.
  • Proficient of Microsoft Office products, most notably expertise in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $76,272 to $130,752

Locations: California; Colorado; District of Columbia (Washington, DC), Maryland; Nevada; New York; Washington State
