Job Description
UM Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a full-time employed position available for a Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their practice located in Bel Air, MD.

Job Specifics:

• Position will manage and treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension (PH) and other conditions of the lung.
• Position involves both inpatient consults and outpatient clinic hours.
• Collaborative, supportive team comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, pulmonary function technicians, medical assistants and administrative support staff.
• Monday through Friday with some weekend requirements.
• Adult or acute care certified nurse practitioner or physician assistant.

Qualifications
Requirements:
• Education & Training: Master of Science degree with completion of an approved nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
• National certification in the area specialty and licensed by the Maryland Board of Nursing. NPI number, DEA and CDS required. BLS and ACLS required.

Ability to demonstrate highly effective verbal communication skills required to interact with patients, family members, departmental units, medical and nursing staff, team members at all essential matters; demonstrated / documented effective interpersonal skills. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his or her population specific and age specific needs.
