Volt is immediately hiring for a QA Documentation Specialist for a Food Manufacturing Company in Compton Ca
As a QA Documentation Specialist, you will:
- Ensure high-level of quality control and correct errors on forms from production, QA, and sanitation departments.
- Review and verify form accuracy and completion.
- Resolve compliance document issues with QA management.
- Maintain confidentiality in document management.
- Complete and file documentation for ingredients and finished products, including GMO, allergen, organic, and kosher.
- Schedule COA testing with the Plant Director.
- Accurately maintain and file documents.
- Keep a key list of SOPs.
- Support QA and Sales projects and third-party audits.
- Serve as SQF Practitioner backup.
- Assist in HACCP plan reviews.
- Maintain hard copies of regulatory reports.
- Handle investigations and customer complaints through CAPAs.
- Ensure compliance with allergen and label rules on production forms.
- Follow GMP, Food Safety, and Quality regulations, reporting issues.
- Generate weekly hold status reports for QA management.
- Take meeting minutes for management meetings as per SQF requirements.
- Follow job safety regulations and report violations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Full-Time, Temp-To-Hire Opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 2 years working in Food Manufacturing Environments
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science related field or equivalent relevant experience and education
- Knowledge of food safety programs and regulations (FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, Allergen Programs).
- Understanding of labeling regulations (FDA, COOL, Prop 65, Nutritional Warnings).
- Experience with NLEA guidelines and ESHA Genesis for nutritional data.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Schedule: Monday to Friday1st shift 9:00am-5:30pm
Pay Rate: $24 to $25.00 hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
