Recovery Specialist I

Location: This is a virtual position, the ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of the following Elevance Health PulsePoint locations; Indianapolis, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Roanoke, VA, Latham, NY, Columbus, GA or South Portland, ME.

The Recovery Specialist I is responsible for handling overpayments or reimbursement from other parties who may be liable for payment of claims. This level handles more routine issues.

How you will make an impact:

• Determines and calculates amount of overpayment.
• Issues refund request letters, notice letters, or med lists.
• Processes voluntary refunds.
• Adjusts claims based on refund received.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years experience in claims and/or customer service; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Knowledge of relevant claims systems and related software and good PC skills strongly preferred.
