The Opportunity
We are seeking a full-time Referral Coordinator to support our Referral Coordinator Team located at 500 Merrimac Street, Lawrence, 01843. This Referral Coordinator supports specialties including Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Cardiology. Endocrinology, Nephrology and Allergy. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with the expectation that employees will be onsite for all hours worked.
Responsibilities

- At the conclusion of the visit, referral coordinators schedule any follow-up tests and/or procedures, specialty appointments, and provide patients with the necessary information needed to schedule external specialty appointments.
- Process all prior authorizations.
- Schedule internal specialty appointments.
- Fax all pertinent information to all external physicians for appointments that are scheduled.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Qualifications
- A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- Must have previous experience in a medical office environment.
- Experience handling referrals preferred.
