Volt is immediately hiring for 100% remote Service Management Consultant/Business Functional Analyst

  • As a 100% remote Service Management Consultant/Business Functional Analyst, you will work for 15% to 20% of the time doing integration of SAP Service Management. This includes Repair (Depot) Service Order, Warranty Verification integrations. You would use Oracle Service Cloud to integrate with SAP through APIs as the middle person with Business clients. You will use Advanced Exchanges in this process. For another 30% of the job, you will be a cross-functional analyst doing requirement gathering, creating functional specifications, doing diagrams/flow charts. For another 30% of the job, you will start off with service requests after a knowledge transfer, then move on to "lights-on" production ticket issues from business partners. You will also work 20% of the job doing cross-functional work with company teams including the PO middleware team and the infrastructure team. Finally, in late 2024/early 2025, you will work on an S4 Hana Rollout.

Note: The position is functional. The candidate needs to be able to perform configuration tasks in SAP based on requirements, so strong configuration experience is a must. The person would also be required to write functional specifications for the technical team for development and perform Functional Unit Testing to confirm the changes. It may help to have technical but it is not a requirement. Sometimes techno-functional people may be more technical than functional, so we need to make sure the functional is strong.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the success of each project by directing system development phases including:
    • Meeting project objectives within specified time frame parameters and according to defined requirements
    • Communicating task status/issues to IS management
    • Coordinating IS function and user resources
    • Conducting feasibility analysis
    • Gathering and organizing business/user requirements
    • Being responsible for systems architecture, design, and systems integration as well as other aspects of technical leadership.
    • Participating in application design review
    • Developing and conducting system/unit test plans
    • Coordinating and assisting in creation of user acceptance test plans and execution
    • Coordinating and/or participating in development of implementation schedules within IS and with business operation
    • System implementation planning and execution. May include user training sessions and associated documentation
  • Conducting ongoing communication within IS and with business operations (e.g., user review meetings for milestone sign-off, obtaining user feedback, reporting on project status)
  • Directing day-to-day maintenance of production software systems
  • Ensuring established service level agreements are adhered to
  • ECC shop with a future roadmap to migrate to S4 Hana

This is Contingent to Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
  • Industry background and strong functional understanding of SAP Repair Depot and Service Center Processes, Service Orders, Repair Orders, Field Service, Warranty/Warranty Claims, and Service Contracts
  • Experience in configuring SAP Service Management (SM) modules and its integration with the rest of the SAP components such as Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Logistics (SD/MM/PP), Supply Chain (SCM), trade compliance (GTS) and Reporting/Analytics (BI)
  • Candidates with SAP ECC Customer Service (SAP-CRM)
  • Visio, PowerPoint, LSMW, MS Excel-intermediate or above on all
  • 5 years+ of SAP hands on experience with configuration within CS module
  • 2-3 years' experience leading small to medium sized projects
  • Service management process with in-depth knowledge of in-house repairs, In/Out - warranty exchanges, warranty claims process.
  • Must have hands-on SAP implementation experience in multiple Projects with strong knowledge in design, architecting solutions in SAP, specifically withing the CS module.
  • Familiar with SAP Notification object, Installed bases, functional locations and service contracts
  • Overview of SAP Order to Cash process and Procure to Pay processes.
  • Good understanding of overall integration with Finance and Accounting.

Pay Rate: $80/hour to $95/hour
