Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Location: Kendall Elementary School

Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:50 PM

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Prevention: Provide consultation, in-service training, and engage with parents and parent groups.

Identification: Participate in pre-referral (student support teams), conduct screenings, and manage referrals for the evaluation process.

Assessment: Collect data through standardized or non-standardized measures, interpret results, write reports, share findings with parents and staff, determine eligibility for services, and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Intervention: Manage caseloads (scheduling), provide direct remediation within the educational setting, offer pull-out services, consult on academic and social issues, develop ongoing goals, document progress, collaborate with classroom teachers, and hold annual review meetings.

Administrative Tasks: Complete caseload records for special education funding and maintain student IEPs and evaluations on a web-based computer program.

Collaboration: Work collaboratively in a team setting.

Job/State Requirements:

Illinois Certificate with Speech and Language Pathology endorsement (Type 73, Type 10, or Type 03/09).

Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Speech-Language Pathologist License.

Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology.
