SARSTEDT, a leading manufacturer and distributor of blood collection and medical devices, laboratory consumables and instrumentation, seeks a 2nd shift Secondary Operations Leadperson for its US Headquarter.

Summary

The Secondary Operations Leadperson schedules, oversees, and coordinates the flow of work within the Secondary Operations department.

Hours: 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as apparent or required by management.

Trains technical personnel on theoretical/practical printing and assembly practices, as well as troubleshooting techniques.

Directs and oversees personnel, assigning work priorities as needed.

Responsible for tracking and forwarding production efficiencies, scrap reduction methods, and cost saving opportunities.

Administers, documents, and evaluates on the job training.

Ensures that safety and operating guidelines are being followed at all times and reports any unsafe conditions to the department manager immediately.

Compiles reports concerning progress of work, downtime due to failures of machines and equipment, and personnel performance.

Directly leads up to 20 employees in the Secondary Operations Department. Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four years of lead or supervisor experience.

Other Qualifications

Previous lead experience required.

Solid technical understanding required.

PLC experience preferred.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
