The Senior Director, Total Rewards & Wellbeing Americas will play a critical role in shaping Danaher Diagnostics Platform's Total Rewards strategy and ensuring it aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. This role involves leading key initiatives, such as the annual compensation cycle, harmonizing grades and levels, and evaluating career tracks in partnership with talent management to ensure consistency and fairness in compensation. You will oversee M&A activities related to compensation and total rewards. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing effective communication strategies to drive associate awareness and understanding of total rewards.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead Key Total Rewards Strategic Initiatives: Manage critical projects such as the annual compensation cycle, harmonizing grades and levels, and evaluating career tracks in partnership with talent management. Ensure consistency and fairness in compensation structures, driving associate engagement and satisfaction. Develop and implement strategies that align with corporate objectives and enhance the overall compensation framework.
Manage M&A Integration: Play a pivotal role in integrating compensation and total rewards programs for acquired companies. Conduct thorough due diligence, develop integration plans, and execute seamless transitions. Ensure acquired employees are aligned with the company's compensation philosophy and policies, minimizing disruption and maintaining morale during transitions. Leverage your strong M&A background to align rewards strategies effectively.
Develop Total Reward Communication Strategies: Implement comprehensive communication plans to enhance associate awareness and understanding of total rewards. Create clear, engaging materials, and organize regular information sessions. Ensure associates know how to maximize their rewards and benefits. Foster a transparent and informative environment where employees feel informed and valued.
Monitor and Adapt to External Trends: Continuously assess and analyze external market trends to recommend changes that keep the company's total rewards programs competitive. Benchmark against industry standards, gather employee feedback, and make data-driven adjustments. Ensure the programs remain attractive and relevant, aiding in the attraction and retention of top talent.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition, Shared Services, and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to design competitive compensation packages. Ensure these packages are aligned with corporate goals and are effective in hiring and retaining top talent. Facilitate cross-functional teamwork to integrate compensation strategies seamlessly into broader HR initiatives.
Strategize Comprehensive Benefits Programs: Partner with Danaher Corporate to develop and oversee a comprehensive suite of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other ancillary benefits. Leverage a broad understanding of industry standards and best practices. Ensure these programs are aligned with overarching corporate strategies and objectives, providing substantial value to associates.
Wellbeing Program, with alignment with Danaher's global Wellbeing Strategy: Design and implement wellbeing initiatives tailored to the unique cultural, social, and health needs of regional employees. Conduct assessments to identify specific wellbeing challenges and opportunities. Continuously monitor effectiveness through data collection, employee feedback, and health metrics to ensure ongoing improvement and relevance.
Develop and Mentor Team: Provide mentorship and development opportunities for associates within the total rewards team. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. Ensure that team members are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and contribute to the organization's success.
Measure Success: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct regular reviews to measure the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs. Use data-driven insights to make informed adjustments and improvements. Assess the impact of strategic initiatives on employee engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, or Master's/Doctoral degree with 10+ years of experience, ideally with 4+ years in a leadership role.
Compensation Design Expertise: Strong understanding of innovative compensation design principles and practices, including experience with equity-based compensation, and M&A.
Strong Knowledge of associate benefits programs, including health and retirement plans.
Strong Knowledge of well-being programs, including mental and physical health initiatives, leave of absence programs, including FMLA, disability, and workers' compensation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Travel: Domestic and international travel is required (approximately 25%).

The salary range for this role is $120,300-$188,433 . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
