A DAY IN THE LIFE

This Senior EHS/PS Consultant position is a fully-remote, part-time work arrangement.

We are seeking a qualified applicant for a fully-remote, part-time, variable-hour role not exceeding 29 hrs/week on average.The successful applicant will be actively contributing knowledge, skills and experience to advance client projects involving EHS/process safety management systems consulting or EHS/process safety auditing serving as a lead auditor or as an subject matter expert working across a diverse set of industries.

As a member of the EHSS Auditing & Management Programs team, this role will be include a range of activities:

  • Providing technical advice to clients along their corporate EHS/process safety journey, from early stages (e.g., assessments, benchmarking) through goal setting, action planning and day-to-day support.
  • Inspecting organization facilities to identify applicable local, state, and federal environmental and health and safety regulations. Travel (both domestic and/or international) may be required.
  • Leading communications between clients, internal subject matter experts, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Completing EHSS reviews and PHAs.
  • Assisting clients in the development, implementation and execution of their internal process safety management/risk management planning programs.
  • Exercising safe work practices by following all our safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Keeping up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an EHS field, engineering, environmental science, or related science discipline.
  • 20+ years of progressively responsible experience in environmental health and safety consulting or industry..
  • Be familiar with 29 CFR and 40 CFR regulations within the context of recognizing applicability and compliance for client's operations.
  • Be capable of executing physical demands associated with inspecting/auditing field duties as verified through an annual physical examination and drug screening.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/ management, both internally and externally.
  • Communicate professionally and persuasively when responding to an EHS crisis or a negatively impactful environmental event.
  • Able to work effectively independently (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated), manage multiple responsibilities, and work with agility across those responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Outgoing / team player with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Ability to communicate in a group-oriented setting, establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and leaders
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to present to supervisors
