Salary: $73.00 USD Hourly - $94.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client, a renowned gaming company, is looking for a Senior Game Marketing Illustrator to join their creative team. This role involves crafting high-quality 2D illustrations for marketing purposes and contributing to the visual direction of game-related content. The ideal candidate will be responsible for elevating the quality of illustrations, guiding external teams, and collaborating closely with Art Directors and Creative Directors to bring characters and storytelling elements to life.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Create top-tier 2D illustrations with minimal supervision, setting the standard for visual quality.
• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to external vendors, ensuring all illustrations meet high-quality expectations.
• Collaborate with Art Directors and Creative Directors, producing character expression sheets, paintovers, and other visual assets to enhance character likeness and storytelling elements.
• Support marketing efforts by providing feedback and expertise for character, action, and storytelling enhancements in cinematic projects.
• Develop documentation to guide both internal and external teams to meet the company's artistic standards.
• Share knowledge and expertise through mentorship, community engagement, and artistic collaboration within the team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in the industry, with a proven track record of creating high-quality 2D illustrations.
• Strong expertise in art fundamentals, including anatomy, lighting, color theory, and visual storytelling.
• Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop and experience in producing digital art assets.
• Ability to mentor and provide guidance to external teams and vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
  
• Deep understanding of 2D illustration production pipelines, from initial sketches to polished final assets.
• Proficiency in creating splash-level illustrations, with skills in stylized anatomy, heroic compositions, and a blend of cinematic and realistic styles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-disciplinary teams.

Additional Requirements:

• Familiarity with the cinematic production process and how illustration integrates into storytelling and marketing.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in AAA game development and the ability to lead and communicate project workflows effectively.
