Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)
Job Overview:
You will serve as a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE), responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure systems for a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Your role will involve analyzing vulnerabilities, mitigating threats, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with security standards to protect critical assets.
This direct-hire position offers a hybrid onsite schedule in Bloomington, MN, and a salary range of $135,000-$175,000, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test secure information security systems and solutions.
- Develop and enforce security policies, measures, and procedures to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security incidents.
- Monitor, respond to, and remediate cybersecurity breaches, detecting and addressing intrusions and unauthorized access.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
- Provide technical direction for security solution design across corporate infrastructure and business applications.
- Manage and deliver cybersecurity awareness training and best practices.
- Report the business impact of security incidents, including breaches, intrusions, or system outages.
- Stay updated on evolving security standards and apply relevant updates to processes and practices.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- Proficiency in security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, vulnerability testing, and security analysis tools.
- Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and standards (ISO27001, CMMC 2.0, NIST, FIPS).
- Advanced knowledge of cryptographic systems (Certificate Authority, Cipher Suites).
- Experience with virtualization platforms like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with Purview or similar DLP solutions.
- Skill in using SIEM tools for threat detection and event correlation.
- Strong Linux, Windows, and Azure OS administration skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of operating system and database security.
- Ability to remediate vulnerabilities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in network security, monitoring, and technology.
- Proven ability to develop, operate, and maintain security systems.
- In-depth understanding of security protocols and principles.
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CompTIA CYSA+.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience as a System Security Engineer or in a similar role.
- Ability to collaborate across departments to implement projects effectively.
- Current knowledge of system security best practices.
- Department of Defense cybersecurity experience is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid onsite schedule: three days per week in the office in Bloomington, MN.
