Salary Range: $86000 - $141800 Salary

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86000 - $141800 Salary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst works closely with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and the Development team to define, build, test, and deploy product changes that deliver value to our customers and other business users within the company. The Business Systems Analyst is a functional expert on one or more product systems and is responsible for clearly describing the expected functional behavior of the system through appropriate documentation.

Advanced professional role. Highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Develops large and/or complex solutions that require analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Works on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors more junior systems analysts. Works under minimal supervision on complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires 6+ years of demonstrated systems analysis experience with at least one project as the systems analyst lead on a "large" project.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with Product Owners (PO's), Business Analysts (BA's), business users, subject matter experts, and Information Technology staff to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and problems, input and output requirements, data needs and retention, usage, formatting, and security requirements.
  • Ensures the PO, BA, and Development Team have a good understanding of the users of the product, including other systems that may consume the product, to help build a valuable product.
  • Serves as the internal subject matter expert when development is completed by external third party partners.
  • Creates project documentation to describe system changes, such as user stories, process maps, business rules, business and technical requirements, use cases, business models/flows, business model test plans.
  • Ensures that project documentation is written at the appropriate level and size to allow the team to deliver value frequently.
  • Manages a regular cadence for producing, reviewing and obtaining approvals for project documentation to maintain a well-refined and prioritized backlog that supports the Development Team availability/velocity.
  • Performs system/functional testing and demos to ensure product changes meet acceptance criteria.
  • Works with Quality Assurance in the coordination of acceptance testing to user groups for any rollout of major enhancements or projects.
  • Understands and applies the approved IT methodology and SDLC, i.e., Waterfall, Agile.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to stakeholders.
  • Performs research and analysis for technical requirements regarding Customer SLA's, Compliance and Security requirements, etc.
  • Plans and designs technology business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Relevant systems analysis experience required for most job levels within this job family- additional details further below.
  • Preferred contact center background and telecommunications background.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of One Call's products and services.
  • Knowledge of claims management industry.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (i.e., agile, scrum, waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development).
  • Knowledge of industry-standard process methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO, CMM, etc.)
  • Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model-driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.
  • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed.
  • Resourceful, open-minded and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.
