The Senior Manager of Global Mobility will lead the company's global mobility program, overseeing the movement of employees across international borders. This role involves managing international assignments, immigration processes, tax compliance, relocation services, and expatriate support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in global mobility, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

This position is located at our corporate global HQ's in Westerville, Ohio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Planning and Management:
    • Develop and implement the global mobility strategy aligned with business goals and talent management strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and immigration requirements related to global mobility.
    • Monitor global mobility trends and best practices to continuously improve the program.
  • International Assignments and Relocations:
    • Manage the end-to-end process of international assignments, including assignment planning, cost projections, and repatriation.
    • Oversee relocation services, including housing, schooling, and cultural orientation for expatriates and their families.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for international assignments and relocations.
  • Immigration and Tax Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with immigration laws and regulations for all international assignees.
    • Work with external tax advisors to manage tax compliance and planning for international assignments.
    • Provide guidance on tax equalization and cost projections for international moves.
  • Employee Support and Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on international assignments, providing support and resolving issues.
    • Develop and deliver training programs and resources for expatriates and their families.
    • Maintain regular communication with expatriates, ensuring a smooth transition and ongoing support throughout their assignment.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage relationships with external service providers, including relocation companies, immigration attorneys, and tax advisors.
    • Negotiate contracts and monitor service delivery to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
    • Evaluate and select vendors to support the global mobility program.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of all international assignments and relocations.
    • Develop and present reports on global mobility metrics, including cost analysis, assignment status, and compliance.
    • Utilize technology and systems to streamline global mobility processes and improve data accuracy.

  • QUALIFICATIONS
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in global mobility or a related HR function, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
    • Strong knowledge of global mobility policies, immigration laws, and tax compliance.
    • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in using global mobility software and HR information systems.
    • Certified Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) or similar certification is a plus.
