The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in challenging environments where customers put a premium on adaptability, reliability and ease of use.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual for the position of Senior Manager, Supply Chain. A day in the Life:

• Design and carry out effective strategies to streamline site level supply chain operations and boost overall efficiency within the areas of Procurement, Production Planning, and Material Control
• Lead and develop a team of supply chain and warehouse professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure daily execution of supply chain activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mid to long range capacity and supply plans for the monthly SIOP process reviews.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
• Continuously monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and supplier management.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and effective strategies to successfully implement innovative supply chain solutions.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous learning within the supply chain team.

Keys to Success:

Education

• Required - Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
• Preferred - MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain or Operations Management

Experience

• Demonstrated expertise of at least 8 years in supply chain management, emphasizing process improvement and effective decision-making.

• Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

• Electronics manufacturing and traditional warehouse setting with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements including but not limited to safety glasses protection and closed toed footwear.
• Prolonged periods of sitting required.
