We are looking for an exceptional AI Scientist with a strong background in computational pathology. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of high-impact research, demonstrated by publications in top-tier journals and conferences. In this role, you will develop novel AI algorithms to address complex challenges in pathology, mentor PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, and contribute to the preparation of research grants to secure funding for innovative projects.
Key Responsibilities
Research and Development: Design and implement novel AI and machine learning algorithms for computational pathology applications, such as image analysis, predictive modeling, and decision support systems.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to PhD students and postdocs, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
Grant Preparation: Collaborate with team members to develop research proposals and secure funding for new projects.
Collaboration: Work closely with pathologists, biostatisticians, and other researchers to integrate AI solutions into clinical workflows.
Dissemination: Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at leading conferences.
Project Management: Oversee research projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and outcomes.
Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with advancements in AI, machine learning, and computational pathology to ensure the use of state-of-the-art methods.
Minimum Education Required
PhD in Computational Pathology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Required Qualifications
Proven track record of impactful publications in top-tier journals and conferences; Strong expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and AI applications in pathology or healthcare; Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch; Experience in working with pathology datasets, including histopathological images and omics data; Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team; Experience in securing research funding and contributing to grant writing is a plus.
