SUMMARY

Provide assistance to the Supervisor to enhance the overall efficiencies and accuracies of all processes required to obtain products in HU's from staging locations and process through to printing labels and shipping small parcel packages for MAHLE Aftermarket Inc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Monitor reports for priority orders, older orders, and processed orders where goods issue is not completed. Monitor outgoing shipments for correct bills of lading, packing list, and shipment paperwork, export markings, etc, to reduce problems with freight carriers and forwarders.

On the job training of new employees and/or temporaries - testing/auditing of correct performance and execution of warehouse tasks and responsibilities. Document via Basic Departmental Specific Training Plan.

Invest time each day with new employees and/or temporaries for first 2 weeks with the intent to conduct an effective onboarding experience, ensure training retention, and remove obstacles preventing the development of an effective team member.

Provide necessary resources and tools to keep personnel productive (radios, lifts & harnesses, pallets, scanners, box cutters, weight scales, label printers, etc).

Prioritize and coordinate with supervisor, SAP Coordinators, other group leaders, and customer service reps to schedule customer orders to meet delivery and productivity requirements within the specified time frame.

Monitor all quality processes within department. Daily disposition of products in red and yellow bins and partial HU's or orders that could not be completed. Monitor and disposition all pallets/bin boxes/products in area of responsibility for correct status identification. Address problems as they arise.

Monitor all daily productivity of team members and report to Supervisor daily. Implement actions to achieve department KPI's.

Perform effective shift handoff to include status of priority customers or orders, suggestions for what to work on next, and staging to set next shift up for success.

Cover for absenteeism and vacation as required.

Handle minor disciplinary issues.

Communicate maintenance requirements on a daily basis.

Work with and display a team concept approach at all times.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Read and respond to emails as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training.

Ability to prioritize production requirements. Possess computer skills in spreadsheet (Excel) functions.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to complete basic math calculations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Good analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
