Salary: $49.00 USD Hourly - $50.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Sr Accountant
1x per week in Long Beach, CA (primarily remote)

6+ Month Contract

Job Description:

Maintain accounting records and reconciliations with proper documentation in accordance with company policies and GAAP. Ensure timely review, reconciliation, and submission of assigned accounts.

Review and validate departmental Expenditure Tracking Reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation and preparing monthly expense accrual entries.

Prepare and record general ledger journal entries, including bank activities, accruals, adjustments, reclasses, amortization, depreciation, intercompany billing, and allocations.

Participate in monthly close meetings, providing research and analysis support for financial fluctuations and variances.

Assist with interim and year-end audit and tax processes, including schedule preparation and documentation review.

Engage in special projects and ad hoc analysis, focusing on automation and process improvement.

Develop and review policies and procedures, identifying and proposing enhancements for continuous improvement.

Cross-train with other accounting department members to serve as a resource and backup.

Act as a Subject Matter Expert in general accounting and expense accruals, maintaining professional knowledge through education and networking.

Support the achievement of company goals and perform other duties as assigned.
