What to Expect

The Sr. Business Strategy Manager will partner with the Sr. Manager, Corporate Strategy to develop long-range and strategic plans for HCA by identifying strategic issues and/or opportunities that could affect future growth and profitability. This role is responsible to lead and effectively manage high impact, cross-functional strategic projects t, research on new business opportunities, lead executive level strategic workshops, develop presentations for key stakeholders, market surveillance, competitor benchmark, internal capability gap assessment, enterprise alignment, and strategic initiatives development.

What You Will Do

1. Short and long-term business opportunities:

• Lead external research on new business opportunities and provide short and long-term strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

• Develop business cases to improve HCA's market presence and profitability.

• Provide insightful qualitative analysis, define operational readiness and setup.

• Collaborate with senior executives to maximize opportunities to align the enterprise on strategic direction.

2. Project Management:

• Lead and effectively manage high impact, cross-functional strategic projects.

• Define project charter and approach, conduct assessments, and identify solutions with alignment with all stakeholders.

• Effectively engage all stakeholders in all project phases.

• Define short-, mid- and long-term strategic direction, roadmap for the business lines (Financing, Commercial, Insurance, etc.) and presents to Sr. leadership for alignment and decision-making.

3. Executive Presentations:

• Lead strategic discussions and workshops with executive leadership.

• Effectively communicate to internal teams and global leaders on project key findings and recommendations in written and verbal communication formats.

4. Benchmark Studies:

• Perform best practices benchmarking studies by leveraging all available sources including internal/public information and SME interviews.

• Provide valuable implications for HCA to close the gaps against best-in- class market players.

5. Strategic Planning Activities:

• Lead annual planning activities, leadership getaway planning activities, and initiative roadmap building to help guide the organization towards enterprise strategic goals.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring

• Minimum 8 years progressive experience in Corporate/Business Strategy, Strategic Planning in Sales & Marketing, or Business Intelligence with expertise in primary and secondary research techniques and intelligence gathering and benchmarking.

• Experience in leading complex enterprise projects.

• Management consultant experience a plus.

• Financial Services, Captive or Automotive Industry experience a plus.

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics or Finance preferred.

• Master's Degree preferred.

• Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills involving large complex data sets and deep understanding of market trends to drive business success.

• Strong written/verbal communication skill to develop and present findings to Executives and Global Leaders.

• Strong project management and interpersonal skills to successfully lead enterprise-wide projects.

• Proven ability to manage a project team and simultaneously ensure the success of multiple enterprise-wide projects.

• Strong problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.

The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
