Your role:

EMD Electronics has opening for a Senior Facilities Technician for its team in San Jose, CA. You will be responsible for supporting the technical demands of the semiconductor facility. This will include basic building maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC - boilers, chillers, cooling towers, CDA compressors, house vacuum pumps, air scrubbers, acid waste neutralization system, gas distribution systems. You will be dealing directly with vendors overseeing installations and repairs. You will also be responsible for maintaining the facility through ALC (Building Management System Control)

In this role you will also be involved in project and sustaining operations, preventative maintenance, and training. You will support installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of the facility and existing support equipment as well as day-to-day support for the sustaining cleanroom operation. As a facilities technician you will be required to actively participate in ERT events and training.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in a HVAC, equipment maintenance, or facilities technician role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude or previous auto/mechanical experience
  • Experience with general building maintenance, pumping, electrical, texturing and painting
  • Experience performing cylinder changes on gas delivery systems
  • Prior experience with ERT (Emergency Response Team)
  • Experience with gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor ultra-high purity operation
  • Experience with gas line welding/assembly
  • Ability to effectively interface with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Experience with a Building Management System (ALC - Automated Logic Control)
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication and emergency response

Pay Range for this position: $39,100-$117,300
Our ranges are derived from several sources, and largely reliant on relevant industry market data. Should we decide to make an offer, we will consider several factors, including but not limited to your location, skills, experience, career level, and other job-related factors.
