The Sr Planning Analyst is a high performing contributor that works to facilitate and support Planning and Supply Chain functions and projects. This role will be responsible for planning and purchasing activities in support of manufacturing.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

  • Works extensively with MRP system to manage and execute tactical purchasing of raw materials in support of fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Issues purchase orders and works directly with suppliers to manage open order reports and ensure that deliveries are made on time in support of production requirements.
  • Proactively coordinates communication between production planners, inventory control and logistics to resolve any potential material shortage scenarios.
  • Monitors inventory levels to balance warehouse space and production needs in support of corporate initiatives.
  • Creates supplier forecasts as needed.
  • Drives process improvements and efficiencies
  • Coordinates with Product Management, Master Data, Suppliers and Purchasing on raw materials for new product development.
  • Assists as necessary in various Supply Chain projects spanning multiple production sites.

Required Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and two+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent computer competence: comfortable working in a very automated environment with multiple and complex software systems; experienced in MS Excel; familiar with ERP/MRP fundamentals
