Location: Minneapolis, MN
Salary: $130,000.00 USD Annually - $160,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Sr. Procurement Manager in Minneapolis, MN area!

Responsibilities:

• Establish business processes and department objectives
• Communicate with all management levels regarding initiatives and programs
• Evaluate crop reports, statistical supply demand data, price trends, and technical market factors from various sources for assigned commodities
• Direct a staff of Administrative Personnel and Procurement Managers (staff must have expert knowledge of ingredients, commodities, and packaging procurement for various divisions within the company)
• Responsible for 2 billion dollars' worth of annual purchases
• Ability to direct, mold and guide the activities of buyers and assistants relative to company initiatives
• Provide coverage for a large range of materials and services required for diverse operations
• Work with suppliers, trade groups and government agencies regarding purchases
• Develop lasting relationships with vital suppliers in order to be a leading customer
• Engage in cash purchases as well as hedging activities with the objective of keeping with established product quality standards while procuring items at the lowest cost
• Perform to the standards defined by the Procurement Director, while setting a positive example for others
• Ensure the department will meet all criteria set forth by the company
• Maintain all key internal and external relationships by ensuring appropriate business connections
• Guarantee the Procurement Team meets or exceeds financial goals set forth by the company
• Oversee and guide direct reports in the performance of all assigned duties
• Provide feedback to direct reports after completing performance reviews

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business management or related field
• 10 to 15 years procurement experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to communicate with all levels both internally and externally
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (Process management or Quality Improvement Process skills are a plus)
• Strong negotiation skills; high level of diplomacy required
• Excellent computer literacy skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Business Objects, and Gateway
• Ability to manage in a team environment (delegate responsibility, supervise people)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Above average planning and organizing skills
• Able to make decisions and implement changes; ability to take managed risks
• Previously managed over $250,000,000 budget
• Familiarity with RFX tools, processes and e-auction.
• Previously developed and executed buying strategies
