Our client is seeking a seasoned Sr. Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the safeguarding of our client's information assets and requires a professional with 6+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, testing, evaluating, implementing, supporting, managing, and deploying security systems/devices.
- Analyzing the information security environment and developing security measures to protect against unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure.
- Collaborating with the technical team to recover data following a security breach.
- Configuring and installing firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Developing automation scripts to handle and track incidents.
- Investigating intrusion incidents, conducting forensic investigations, and mounting incident responses.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Delivering technical reports and formal papers on test findings.
- Maintaining access by providing information, resources, and technical support.
- Building, deploying, and tracking security measurements for computer systems and networks.
- Mitigating security vulnerabilities by implementing applicable solutions and tools.
- Performing vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
Additional duties include:
- Collaborating on authentication, authorization, and encryption solutions.
- Responding to information security issues during each stage of a project's lifecycle.
- Establishing system controls by developing a framework for controls and levels of access.
- Safeguarding computer files by performing regular backups and developing procedures for source code management and disaster preparedness.
The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively with the technical team, management team, and users company-wide in the event of a data security breach. They will also be expected to evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities, define, implement, and maintain corporate security policies, and train staff on network and information security procedures.
