Volt is hiring a Systems Tech for immediate hire in Irvine.

As a Systems Tech you will:

Systems Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely install, maintain, repair, move, replace, modify, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on industrial and commercial equipment used in production, laboratory, office and utility areas
• Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts and diagnoses plant and production electrical components, equipment and automation control systems.
• Installs, modifies, upgrades, improves and inspects, plant and production equipment and automation control systems including maintaining documentation.
• Performs preventive maintenance procedures.
• Drafts and conducts calibration of plant and production equipment.
• Assists in control systems design, determining spare parts, and documentation for new and modified equipment. Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Plant Engineering to identify, evaluate, and select electrical equipment and electronic systems most appropriate for the specified applications.
• Creates, plans and conducts training for maintenance craftspeople for new and modified electrical and electronic equipment.
• Creates and modifies MS Excel Files, MS Word files, database for historical trending, and loads and remove programs

This position is temp to hire. We are hiring for 2nd shift (1pm - 9:30pm) and 3rd shift (9pm - 5:30am). Must train on 1st shift for a few weeks.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Ability to pass the Maintenance Selection Test Battery.
• Knowledge and skills of mechanical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required.
• Knowledge and skills of Electrical concepts at a level required to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and devices is normally required.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, elementary diagrams, PLC logic listings, instrument flow diagrams, web line diagrams, and schematic diagrams.

Pay Rate: $41.50/hr
