ECS is seeking a Technical Advisor - Physics to work in our Arlington, VA office Please Note: This position is contingent upon [additional funding].

Job Description:

ECS provides Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in a dynamic environment pursuing impactful and cutting-edge research. We're seeking Physicists with experience in a DoD environment to join our team in support of the DARPA mission. We are searching for someone to focus on new program development and analysis support for ongoing program management.

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Analysis of emerging science and technology R&D opportunities.
    • Conducting first-principles analysis.
    • Generating briefing materials and agency documents.
    • Program management at all stages over the program life cycle.
  • Candidates must display:
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Outstanding verbal/written communication skills.
    • Ability to work on tasks quickly, efficiently, and independently.
    • Collaborate in a team atmosphere.
    • Passion for science, technology, and learning different disciplines.

Required Skills:
  • Active DoD secret clearance or the ability to obtain.
  • Master's degree with 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Conversant in topics including quantum optics, physical chemistry, high-energy/particle physics, and AMO (atomic, molecular, optical) physics.
Desired Skills:
  • Ph.D. with 3+ years of industry experience.
  • Prior experience with DoD research and development.
