Tool Die Maker Position Summary:
The Tool Die Maker will support the Stamping business unit and will be responsible for supporting the building and maintaining of fixtures, gages, and multiple forms of tooling using validated effective practices.
Responsibilities
Tool Die Maker Responsibilities:
- Maintain and build reliable production ready tooling on time
- Troubleshoot tooling issues and determines best solutions
- Work closely with others to ensure best practices are used during the build and qualification of all tooling
- Monitor and assist in the refinement of all toolroom processes
- Set up and operate CNC and manual toolroom equipment to produce high quality precise tooling components and other piece parts
QualificationsTool Die Maker Position Requirements: - Technical degree or equivalent machine tool experience
- 5 years building or maintaining precision tooling
- Advanced theory of cutting and forming, ability to troubleshoot by reading a progressive strip, and knowledge of the theory of cutting and forming in the stamping process
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering and quality
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
- Mechanical aptitude
Tool Die Maker Preferred Requirements: - Proficient in SolidWorks
- Medical Device manufacturing
- Progressive Tooling Experience
- Basic skills and knowledge of Lean Principles and toolroom process workflow
Physical & Environmental Demands:Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.
