Job Summary

This role will operate plant machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product.

Job Responsibilites

  • Assist in plant start-up as instructed
  • Perform quality control on finished products being tumbled removing any product not meeting quality standards
  • Stack/sort product (concrete pavers) on elevated pallets
  • Occasional manual stacking of product (concrete pavers) weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Clean up designated area at end of shift
  • Assist in other areas of plant as needed and directed by supervisor
  • Extended periods of standing on concrete floor 8-10 hours
  • Subject to temperature variations based on season
  • Subject to exposure to noise and dust
  • Use of PPE to include safety shoes, hard hats, ear and eye protection

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma/ equivalent; or at least 1 month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers
  • Knows the basics of hydraulics, electricity, and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Experience working with Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, etc.
