The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants should be board certified in Nephrology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn medical students, residents, and clinical fellows. Applicants should be outstanding educators with demonstrated teaching achievement. The academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a general nephrology consultant, in a freestanding VA outpatient hemodialysis unit, and in an acute inpatient dialysis unit.
This position may require split employment by the University of Pennsylvania and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
