Posting Summary:Provide business administration for the Vermont Child Health Improvement Program (VCHIP) including UVM funds, external funds, and grant/contract funding sources. In conjunction with department administrator, Assistant Director and principal investigators administer grant activities such as develop budgets, reconcile accounts, develop and present specialized reports and invoices, and ensure timeliness to meet all requirements. Also seve as primary contact for internal and external financial related transactions, questions and report development. Provide financial and human resources relate information with regard to UVM policies and procedures. Collaborate and work closely with VCHIP Executive Leadership.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):A Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required, along with two to four years of related experience. Candidates must possess effective financial, management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and should be able to take initiative, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and anticipate program needs. A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel is essential, as is experience in administering budgets, managing personnel, and understanding grant/contract management and auditing requirements.
Desirable Qualifications:Experience in higher education and grant-funded organizations highly desirable. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, UVM financial systems and fund accounting highly desirable.
Anticipated Pay Range:$60,000-$70,000
Special Conditions:Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
