The VDC Process Engineer plays a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing the Virtual Design and Construction processes within our organization. This position involves developing, implementing, and refining workflows, tools, and methodologies that enhance collaboration, efficiency, and accuracy in project execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering, construction technology, a passion for innovation and digital transformation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related
field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in Virtual Design and Construction, process engineering, or a
related field. Proven experience in process development and improvement within a VDC environment. Strong knowledge of VDC tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Evolve, and ACC. Familiarity with project management software and tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to lead and manage change within an organization.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.


Travel: 5-15%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Schedule may vary and can include, but is not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Development:
  • Analyzes current VD workflows and develop standardized processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.


Technology Implementation:
  • Leads the evaluation, integration, and implementation of new VDC tools and software.


Collaboration and Communication:
  • Works closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to ensure effective communication and alignment on VDC processes.
  • Works closely with the VDC Supervisor and VDC Training Lead during the development and implementation phases of new tools, processes, and methodologies
Data Management:
  • Develops systems for accurate and accessible data management, ensuring that project data is up-to-date and reliable.


Quality Control within Processes:
  • Develop and ensure the application of process-level quality control measures, making sure that new workflows and tools meet quality standards before deployment.


Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in VDC processes and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Continuous Improvement
  • Regularly evaluating and interacting with leadership to identify opportunities for refining processes and enhancing overall process efficiency.


  • Perform s other related duties as assigned.
