What you will be doing:
Helen of Troy is a leader in the beauty industry, renowned for its commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of premium beauty products (Drybar, Hot Tools, Curlsmith, Revlon) that give customers the confidence of a salon quality look, every day. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Prestige Beauty Sales to lead our sales organization in this channel and drive revenue growth across our prestige beauty product line. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the beauty market, outstanding leadership skills, and a proven track record of building high-performing sales teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for our prestige beauty products.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing sales team, encouraging a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Manage and set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback and mentor to team members.
- Ensure collaboration with brand teams and sales strategy to deliver market place wins.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key retail partners (ULTA, Sephora, Nordstrom, Macy's), distributors, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and manage key accounts to improve profitability and market presence.
- Determine and identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to achieve market share gains.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with brand positioning.
- Launch innovation with excellence to achieve desired market share gains and consumer experience.
- Share market level insights from customers and field promotion team to determine new product development.
- Establish sales performance metrics and Key Performance Indicators, regularly reviewing results to ensure targets are met.
- Present sales reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for necessary changes and continuous improvement.
- Lead all aspects of sales forecasting processes to ensure accurate revenue projections and risks/opportunities management.
- Determine sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to improve return on investment.
- Trade budget tracking and management to ensure strong Return On Investment
- Determine and implement promotions in conjunction with Trade Marketing team, bringing our brands to life in a way that is consistent with both Helen of Troy and retailer objectives.
- Deploy Helen of Troy's Prestige Beauty field team to implement in-store promotions and events that will deliver brand financial objectives.
- Manage growing retailer online businesses including use of retail media.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:
- Expert understanding of the Prestige Beauty market and consumer behavior.
- Strong relationships within the Prestige Beauty retail community.
- Comfort with data-driven decision-making and sales forecasting.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- High accountability and continuous improvement mentality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 15+ years of sales experience in the beauty industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred Qualification:In California, Colorado, and New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is $196,888.96 - $295,333.45 annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
