VISION SYSTEM TECHNICIAN

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Vision Systems include Smart Sensors, Smart Cameras, Proprietary and PC based Vision Systems:

• Properly set-up and consistently maintain all the current and future production machine vision systems in the plant.
• Set up Code Readers, Print and Calibration evaluating vision systems;
• Perform maintenance and inspection of all current systems and their auxiliary components and documenting as required.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve problems with current systems including, communication issues, hardware issues, software issues and general PC issues. This can also include mechanical, Pneumatic and electrical issues with the equipment that the vision system is integrated with.
• Keep track of all Spare components and have them reordered as necessary.
• Monitor effectiveness of the systems and make adjustments or recommendations as necessary to drive continual improvement and quality.
• Assist with development, training and maintenance of the Vision System set up procedures.

Safety and Cleanliness

• Follow all GMP/Cleanroom and safety requirements when servicing vision equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Wear company issued personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, such as gloves, masks, hairnets, earplugs.

Do You Have...?

• Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 3 years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to deal with problem solving techniques in a systematic fashion. Ability to apply these principals to programing script or configure a Smart Camera to minimize the risk of false accepts and/or reduce false rejects without jeopardizing the end product’s quality.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understanding of Quality validation requirements.
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate production demands.

Preferred:

• Background in windows based operating systems, spreadsheet design and/or photo editing.
• Working understanding of Visual Basics, C and/or Java programming languages

Can You…?

• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Communicate within the organization clearly and effectively both verbally and written such as: IQMS, email.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and convert metric to standard.
• Work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Do you have the Physical Stamina to…?

• Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds with proper gear or device.
• Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and have ability to adjust focus.
