The successful candidate will provide professional research assistance with ongoing projects at the Sustainable Agroecosystems Lab in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science. Research at the SAS Lab focuses on crop-livestock integration and environmental impact assessments in forage and grazing systems.
Primary duties include
* Support graduate students to conduct experiments and perform data collection in lab and field environments.
* Analyze samples in the Lab and manage data.
* Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Essential Duties
Conduct and participate in data collection: including experimental setup and implementation, samples collection in field settings; processing of forage, soils and greenhouse gas samples in the Lab, handling equipment such as near-infrared
spectroscopy (NIRS) and gas chromatography, supporting faculty/graduate/under-graduate students in lab tasks; other duties as assigned
Experience
1-2 years of experience as intern/undergraduate research assistant in crop, soil or animal sciences research Labs.
