VP, Mortgage Operations

Job Summary:

The VP, Mortgage Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of the mortgage origination process within the Consumer Direct business line. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the mortgage industry. The VP will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, including loan processing, underwriting, closing, and post-closing activities.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
• Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, including TRID, RESPA, and Dodd-Frank.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
• Technology and Innovation: Embrace technology to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in mortgage originations, including leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of mortgage origination processes, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in mortgage origination systems, such as Encompass.
