Workday Engagement Manager

  • You will lead new Workday implementations and Phase X work, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving our company to implement more effective ways of deploying Workday

  • This position is for a productive professional individual contributor who will manage multiple workstreams and projects, adhering to project governance structure and working independently with minimal supervision

We will count on you to:
  • Manage multiple projects with Mercer clients, across varying business and functional units, and lead decision-making processes required to move projects along to completion
  • Prepare status reports and engage with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution are aligned with defined objectives, and coordinate and communicate the activities of project teams with relevant stakeholders to ensure progress within time and budget constraints; also present at Executive Steering Committees with clients at C-Suite level
  • Establish and monitor project plans, including the setting of milestones and deadlines, in consultation with business users, in order to manage the lifecycle and operational aspects of projects (e.g., resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, and dependencies)
  • Document and oversee project costs, and ensure all Mercer-related costs are reflected accurately in required documentation
  • Allocate duties and responsibilities of the team, closely monitoring and driving the progression of the project teams for on-time and on-budget implementation
  • Ensure comprehensive scope document is in place at the start of the project, and continuously review the scope document as the project progresses and manage changes of scope effectively; identify project risk items during all phases and provide mitigation responses
  • Identify opportunities to position other Mercer service offerings with clients

What you need to have:
  • Workday Engagement Manager (EM/PM) certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing Workday projects
  • Experience in all aspects of managing medium- to moderately complex projects in a fast-paced large multi-national organization, including project initiation, determining deadlines, holding team members accountable for assigned responsibilities, identifying risks, facilitating problem resolution with clients and internal stakeholders, managing resources, providing analytics, and developing/presenting reports to senior management
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences; and exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area

What makes you stand out:
  • Experience with a professional services firm implementing Workday for external clients
  • PMP Certification is a plus; if you have experience with Waterfall, Agile, PMP or a solid foundation in methodology, that is very beneficial
  • Experience with Smartsheet and ServiceNow

The applicable base salary range for this role is $111,600 to $223,200.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
