WPS Field Specialist
Richmond, VA

Responsible for driving and demonstrating WPS solutions via the WPS truck within a given district. In addition, Field Specialist will be responsible for in the field "Good Will" repairs for select equipment and provide onboarding assistance to customers who have recently purchased automated equipment. Logging of calls and supporting WM sales personnel to further sale the WPS portfolio of print jet printers, plotters, crimping machines, hand tools and relevant software to operate equipment.

Description:

• Performs full range of maintenance and repair on assigned products, including technical diagnostic, software troubleshooting, and replacement part installation.
  
• Manage all repair activity, from WPS truck, performed to equipment and complete all documentation.
  
• Diagnose failure of assigned product, documents and communicates "root-cause" of failures.
  
• Responsible for the showing WPs truck and its relevant solutions.
  
• Read and interprets service manual, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot product.
  
• Will maintain support responsibilities for customers who have acquired WM automated equipment...working closely with sales.
  
• Responsible for coordinating field tours with the WPS truck and keep its maintenance up to date.
  
• Ensures thorough familiarity with and actively adheres to all Environmental and Safety and Security policies and performs their duties in accordance with those policies.
  
• Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental and security regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, CFR 1910 OSHA) as well as Company policies and procedures.
  
• Responsible for notifying your direct supervisor, manager and/or a member of the Executive Staff of any risks associated with the Quality Management System
  

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of demonstrated field technician support work and repair experience required.
  
• Must be a strong communicator based on presenting relevant equipment, software and tools.
  
• Journeyman or proof of completion of college or apprenticeship or equivalent education. Additional qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the educational requirements.
  
• Must exhibit ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the assigned machines
  
• Ability to utilize deductive reasoning and a systematic approach to troubleshooting
  
• Computer skills including MS Office and ability to learn new software
  
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment
  
• Must be able to stand regularly while working on equipment
  
• Must have clean driver record
