Where you will work:


This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50%/40%/etc. remote) and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin .

The contributions you will make:

This position is responsible for partnering with leadership and stakeholders to identify and assess key risks and controls for credit. The incumbent completes non-complex loan reviews to evaluate credit quality and administration to identify and mitigate risk. Ensures the organization adheres to internal policies and procedures, Federal and State lending regulations, business plans, and maintains sound fiscal operations.

A typical day:
  • Provides direct, continuous review of the loan portfolio.
  • Assesses loan file documentation, credit approval process, loan policy and procedures, analysis of financial information, assigned risk rating and credit classification, analysis of financial information, assigned risk rating
  • and credit classification, analysis and monitoring of collateral, assigned collateral loss grade, approved terms and conditions, loan system coding, and ongoing monitoring and collection, including service plans.
  • Provides summary of findings and makes recommendations for improvement to the assigned lead loan reviewer and credit review leadership.
  • Evaluates lending processes and procedures to promote a uniform credit culture.
  • Provides recommendations to guide, maintain or improve overall credit policy and credit quality.
  • Actively participates in loan review team discussions by communicating review findings and trends.
  • Assists in the preparation of management and Audit Committee reports.

The skills and experience we prefer you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Intermediate experience in loan review, credit analysis and credit underwriting in a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, rules and regulations regarding credit extension.
  • Sound understanding of credit and collateral risk, internal controls, and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Auditing and reporting skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently, with proven skills in leadership and organization.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.

Level 1

$66,000 - $99,700 USD
